At Achilleus Security We Observe Strict Guidelines For Recruitment of New Team Members.

Achilleus Security will always strive to recruit the best person for the job.

Our recruitment and selection procedures have been designed to ensure that they are consistent, fair and provide equality of opportunity.

• Ability to achieve Vetting and Screening standards
• *Meeting industry requirements

We take into account all current legislation covering Equal Opportunities and our sector policy and guidance in regard to British Standard 7858 Security screening of individuals employed in a security environment and apply this to every stage of our recruitment and selection process which includes:

• Interviewing and assessment

We provide specific recruitment process training and guidance to ensure that:

• We look at the skills and qualifications necessary for an individual to be able to do the job.
• That candidates will be able to meet our company and industry vetting standards / best practices.
• Interview questions are objective and relevant to the requirements of the job / role.
• Avoid discriminatory language or implications.
• All applicants are required to complete an application form.
• This includes a separate Equal Opportunities section.
• Personal information is used only for limited purposes in accordance with Data Protection Legislation.

We provide specific recruitment process training and guidance to ensure that:

We operate a policy within our recruitment procedure that should an application be refused or rejected* we will not reconsider a further application for a period of 6 months from the date of the first application. The only exception to this policy is where a candidate is below the age of 18 years at time of application, as we will provide the candidates with the opportunity to re-apply on or after their 18th birthday.

*Should it be found that any applicant is not truthful within their application for employment, we reserve the right to not consider any future application from that candidate.

We operate and notify of our strict deadlines in respect of completion of the application process, however these deadlines may be extended should there be mitigating circumstances, the consent should be requested prior to expiry and in writing.

Our recruitment processes and procedures are regularly monitored and reviewed, and this policy is updated in line with industry guidance, legislation, and company policy.
